Typography (from the Greek words τύπος (typos) = form and γραφή (graphe) = writing) is the art and technique of arranging art to make language visible. So whether you have sighed at the over use of Comic Sans, or admired the subtle architecture of Bodoni Open-face - you spend time with fonts. Here are a few tools to make your life easier. Some may be old news for you, but remember, some people might be behind the “Times”. 

If you ask ten people how to create a remarkable experience in the work place, 9 would probably say, “pay me more money” or “better benefits." I see these things as ways to get people to come to work, or ways to ward off attrition, not creating a remarkable experience. In order to create a remarkable experience, management has to learn and pay attention to something that is off the books, out of the paycheck, and deep into the psyche of their employees.

When I woke up this morning, the first thing that I did, as I do every morning, is go outside for about five minutes. I learned this practice from a documentary about a Native American tribe who makes it a custom to wake every morning and run towards the rising sun. When they can’t run anymore, they wash themselves with the sun, and then the earth. They are welcoming the day and thanking the sun for the energy that it provides. I normally just smoke a cigarette but hey, “adapt or die” am I right?
